Get Your Mind Right 1st! #CleanEating

Hello Loves. (NAMASTE)

As some of you have requested this entry will be focusing on things in this world that forced me to start Clean Living, Clean Eating & Clean Loving. So many things have changed in our world since the beginning of time and it is so easy to drift with the dirty wind.

( I use clean and dirty to explain right and wrong in this post but remember my right may not be your right and my wrong may not be your wrong but if it sounds right & it feels right then it is right for you) #ToEachItsOwn

I can remember being in my neon-green painted room at my mother's house on 10/10/2010. My husband and I were separated that year and I had decided to change my life for the better. You know when something drastic in your life happens and you're like "Fux this *ish, I'm about to bounce back better than ever!" yup, I was standing in-front of the mirror looking fly in my bathing suit taking selfies with my t-mobile sidekick #Throwback. During that time I was spending most of my weekends at the beach "cleansing" as we would say. I guess I had an epiphany on that day.. (a manifestation of a divine or supernatural being) I woke up and said I would change my life and not eat meat. That vegetarian phase lasted for 3 years and then I fell into a money depression and had to eat accordingly but I never lost sight of the truth. #HowCanI

The epiphany was cool but the cause of the epiphany was more like a paradigm shift (a fundamental change in approach or underlying assumptions). We all have these shifts so it is important that you understand the meaning of them. See...on the night before 10/10/2010 I watched this documentary about food and how the animals are raised and injected with all these harmful substances. How our bodies were deteriorating from eating these processed foods and how the animals were being killed. "Are you serious?".. So my brain made the decision to eat clean before my stomach could even agree with it. Mind Over Matter made the change easy for me. That means the change can come easy for anyone with the right understanding.

Below will be the studies of this post. I have done research to find the easiest and inexpensive way to change your mind for the better. These are only a few key tips but with all of your continued questions and comments we will expose a lot of truth on this blog. I have been through these same point of views and I also have been studying my own findings and theories. You are here because you are serious about changing, you see exactly what a dirty lifestyle has done for our lives from the past to now and you know it is time.

Again, you will not be alone in this journey. I genuinely you to win. Money is cool, but Wealth and Health is for eternity!!

**Please read through this entire post before going to the links I have provided for you. Everything I talk about is relevant to life and what you have been searching for. With that being said, please don't cut my teachings short. Teaching is my art, my creativity and like Badu said, "I'm sensitive about my *ish!" LOL.

  • So first, I suggest you watch Food, Inc. I have searched the Internet for links to this video and I have found Amazon to be the cheapest for instant rental $2.99. But if you have good 'ol Netflix then it's on there. Also, the director of Food, Inc sat down and did a review on the film, and I found that on YouTube for you here..
  •  Then I think you should take a break and reflect on yourself and what you have consumed today. Remember, eating clean is not about completely changing everything you eat. You DO NOT want to do that because everything takes time. Please remember this. I am not a health care professional so I can only speak from my studies and my examples from my life and the lives around me. Moderation is the key.
  •  Now that you have viewed and reviewed the bullet points above, I think it would be good for you to see someone practicing healthy eating. The documentary Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead is a great film. Again, you can find this on Netflix or $3.99 on amazon for rent. I really enjoyed this film the most because "Joe" was extremely obese and he was suffering from many illnesses. He heard that his illness could be reversed with a balanced nutritional diet and exercise and he committed to it. He reversed his illnesses and he looks amazing today. Remember that every illness/disease can be reversed!
  • Last but not least watch Earthlings. Now this film is about everything. This is like "The Wake Up Call". Keep an open mind and an open heart when you watch this film and never, ever judge. There is so much information to process when you see this film, it's not just about food. Some things will be like "duh" and something will have you like "WOW!". I have found this one for you on YouTube here..
OK, I think those 4 bullet points above are the beginning to your conscious journey. This is the start and it will take months or even years for the full effect of your learning to become apart of you fully, but like everything there has to be a start.

In my next blog post I will list 10 things you should be changing in your kitchen. There are some things that you may cook with now that may be harming you in the long run. I will have the prices of the items and reasons for erasing these items from your eating life. As always, share your wealth and tell someone you love about my blogspot. I am passionate about teaching. I have been teaching since before I even knew I was a good teacher so I know teaching is my destiny..

Where Have You Been Le Blu??...

For as long as I could remember I use to feel that complicated things and intense work was winning. If my drink had many ingredients then it was good.. If the steps were long and high than when reached "I won!" Seems accurate until you meet other winners. Who win from just being happy and simple. Simplicity..

I bet there are many people out here feeling the same way. . No sleep will equal success or sacrifice will get you closer but I had a change of mind.. But what changes this thought process?

Well for me it was when I gave everything I was given away. I  moved away from everything I knew and decided it was best to earn everything back through my Self. I gave everything that we owned in our 3 bedroom home to Goodwill and relatives within a week. Crazy huh?? Don't get me wrong, something's we kept, like our sacred treasures but whatever couldn't fit in our 2013 Ford Taurus was not going on the journey. #TOUGH

The hard part for me was when I rented a car and packed a bag and got on the road to "I don't know where" alone. I left the girls with my mother, gave my hugs and kisses just in case I couldn't make a return and I got on the road.

To where you ask? I didn't have a clue but I started to drive North.

First stop was Orlando. Good 'ol House of Mickey Mouse. I looked at a few town homes and schools. I wasn't sold so I kept driving. Next stop, Georgia.

Here I am alone in the car, just my fruits, veggies & water driving across state boarders. God had my back because that was one of the most scariest time of my life. Stopping at rest stops because my eyes were just too tired to keep driving and waking up alive. I sighed in relief every time I woke back up. "God is Good!"

Now, when I made it to Georgia I stopped in Perry. I ate at Captain D's (best freaking fast food that's seafood ever...& them rolls. "Gawd!!") ..but I just didn't feel a pull towards the city. I wasn't home. Next stop was, The A!!

"Welcome to Atlanta" to me sounded like, "Welcome to all these high rises, traffic and cars" WTF?
To be honest Atlanta reminded me of Miami and I just didn't feel at ease there.

So, I waited a few hours then I bounced. See, I didn't want our new home town to have to grow on us, I wanted to feel at home the moment I touched it. Abiding by this law of mine kept me on the road moving through cities like the flow of water.

Georgia just wasn't it for me. So I kept driving.

I'll say I drove a total of 14 to 15 hours before I landed in this one city. I'm not going to reveal what state it's in but this city grabbed my attention like non-other. The people embraced me within 5 minutes of me stopping and everything was so darn cheap. Can somebody say HEAVEN!?!

I found it. The city that we would make our own. I went down the list of possibilities and opportunities for the 5 of us and I found many. Felt like an empty canvas and #TheMcGowans were coming to paint the town. I checked in one of their 3 hotels and took a nap. It was a long way coming..Z Z Z Z z z z z..

Did I mention gas was $1.98 even before gas prices started to drop? and property taxes didn't exceed $400 a year for acres of land?

God, you knew exactly what I wanted and you made me feel at ease and at home when I reached it. All I had to do was bust a move. #ThankFul

Things start to happen when you get moving..I am a living testimony of that. I deserved everything good but I wasn't receiving it because I wasn't in my right position. So I moved around until I felt the ease in my gut. Like God was talking to me and directing me the whole way.

Simplicity at the end of my journey.

Last Week of Summer Break Here in Miami, Fl.

If you are part of the group that does not take a break from work or just always moving then you may not understand what we are about to talk about. Just think, before there were cars that started up on their own there were cars that people use to kick start. Are you picturing them? Yes, The Flintstones were good at kick starting the car and steering along the way. I see the same for projects, dreams and ideas.

"Put your all into the kick start of your next endeavor and let the passion & completion of your work help you to steer through the journey"- Dominique Le Blu

Meaning, put your most into the start of whatever you plan on starting. To Start means to come in being and if you are you most while you come into being then the journey ill be a necessary ride. Of course the journey will be a long rode but the ride will be more understanding when you kick start with all your might! (Ding!, I usually make bells of "ahh haaa's click in heads lol)

But Getting back to this summer break, it was a delight, wasn't it? Things got more organized for all of us and visions more clear or cloudy for most of us. (Has a lot to do with the planet's position also) Things that were good but not good for us has walked away and opportunities are staring you in the face waiting to get "Kick Started".

Whatever your summer brought you be happy for it and also be happy that school is starting in a week and its time to have our children ready for the first day. I know, I know, hair, clothes and school supplies are necessities too but I'm speak on their MIND & THINKING for the 2014-2015 school year. Let's go....

First: Take away the TV. Yes, right now just turn it off. If you still allow your children to sit in front of the television or computer for more than an hour then yes especially you. Now wake your child up, the TV tends to keep them in a sleep trans. OK, now that they are awake go make a snack and just sit down with your children and talk. Start by sharing every one's biggest expectation of themselves and the people living in the household. Get it together over a snack.

Next, get out a big doodle pad and make notes of how all of you are going to spend the last week of summer break together. Don't laugh, this is important...

Now let's begin with Monday, what time will everyone be waking up and what are the plans hour to hour? So much can be done in 7 days and everyone is so lucky to be able to map out exactly what their plans are. Also Moms, we have to get their clothes and school activities organized before it sneaks right up on us. Here is a sample of a daily plan:

Monday
Eat breakfast together
Finish laundry
Look in the paper for school supplies coupons
Map out school year schedule
Fix lunch/ I'm feeling like bean soup
Bathe & Walk Cookie (dog)
Watch a movie
Talk about year's expectations
Read books/Work on school lessons
Eat dinner

Of course you can add in more details or spice it up like a Bucket List, to each family their own!

Yea, it's about that time to wake them up and get them ready for next week's reality, like the start of a project or a dream that they want to come true. Fill their thoughts with great expectations of the new school years and motivation to reach the goals. Say nice, rewarding and uplifting things because now you will not be seeing each other as much as in the summer. Get ready to help your child(ren) Kick Start their next Beginning!

We Walked 3.1 Miles Across Miami

Greetings Lovers,

Guess what my girls and I did. We walked 3.1 miles to "Nana's" house. I know, I know, you all are wondering why we just didn't get in the car but listen to the entire meaning of yesterday.

My daughters and myself were home with no car. Daddy had a basketball game and we were bored. The oldest asked me if we could go somewhere and I replied, "If we go anywhere it would have to be by feet because Daddy has the car", they all agreed. Yes even our 2 year old screamed, "Yes!". At that moment I was thinking about the heat outside and that far walk but then I saw the determination in their eyes and the will in their hearts.

So, I told everyone to get dressed and I packed the water and fruits for the walk and pulled out the hats. We all were excited to go on this "adventure" and I wanted to let them see that nothing can stand in front of them when there is something for them to gain.

We headed out the house like 4 ladies on an adventure looking for The Planet of the Apes lol (great movie btw). Skylar, the 2 year old was the leader at the start but the further we walked the less she wanted to walk. Our middle daughter, Brooke did not want to go any further after 20 minutes. I looked at her and said, "You agreed to this adventure, You started this adventure, Now let's finish the adventure!"

Two miles in and a hour later we had to rest. So many people were honking the horn and asking if we wanted a ride. I said loudly and proudly, "If we wanted a ride I would have drove, we are on an adventure". My girls agreed every time I shouted it. They were just as proud as I was to be doing something so daring and out of our normal. We took a 20 minute rest in the laundry mat, had a few snacks and played a few video game. We were tired but still happy.

As we started walking again, I could see that the girls wanted to give up. I reminded them that we made it more than half the way and we cannot stop until we make it all the way. Ariah said, "Trying is doing nothing at all, we have to finish it to say we did it or its like we did nothing at all." Yes, she blew me away too. She understands life more than a lot of grown folks we passed on our adventure and she makes me so proud.

The moral of the walk was to show my daughters how easy it was to get somewhere because we have the feet and heart to get there. Have you noticed how spoiled children are these days? They would miss out on the world if mommy or daddy didn't drop them off to it. Also, if my 2 year old can keep up and feel accomplished, so can your children.

How will you prepare your children for the world this summer? Share your stories

#LeBlu

My homework..check out my poem, We Love!

My Professor sent out assignments and I completed this in less than 30 minutes. I received so many comments about the feelings my words made them feel..what do you think? No one has really read my thoughts and I am sharing them with you! (Make sure to read the poem, I wrote it a day before our 10 year/ 5 year anniversary)

Generate a list reflecting the categories with which you identify. Complete the statement: “I am a(n) ___,” rather quickly 20 times in the spaces provided below. Do not think too long about your responses as no answers are right or wrong.

1. I am a(n) mother.
2. I am a(n) wife.
3. I am a(n) great human being.
4. I am a(n) animal lover.
5. I am a(n) teacher
6. I am a(n) listener.
7. I am a(n) daughter.
8. I am a(n) independent learner.
9. I am a(n) Rastafari
10. I am a(n) open mind
11. I am a(n) wombman
12. I am a(n) kind heart
13. I am a(n) woman of the Universe
14. I am a(n) aspiring writer
15. I am a(n) beautiful creation
16. I am a(n) goal achiever.
17. I am a(n) example for society
18. I am a(n) giver
19. I am a(n) granddaughter
20. I am a(n) guided light

When you have finished, divide your responses according to the underlying categories you are able to recognize. This strategy can help you gain a picture of the image you have of yourself.

1. Human Being
2. Lover
3. Goodness

2) Write a poem or song about your diversity and/or culture:

There is a whisper in the wind, I can recognize a sound like mine
A tingle from within, I still recognize the sound like mine
My daughters just won’t know, until I enlighten their awareness and show,
Them the greatness within themselves, just like mine.

Clean your room and do your best in school is my favorite line,
Brush your teeth and make your bed one more time.
"I love you Honey, you being the best husband is far too kind"
The gratefulness I unleash because I know these things are far more than just mine.

And then we Love, we realize that mine is not mine but that we are we, and then we love.
Love is really all we need in this lifetime, and then we love!
